‘My husband was martyred in Afghanistan… we lost everything there and have nothing. We did gather some things again but lost them again. We have been through so much difficulty on the road. It’s been more than a month that we had no food, nothing. We got here with so much difficulty. We are forty five people of the same family, we were suffering on the road , on the ship, on water, on land. We had nothing to eat, we had no clothing, no money. We lost our bags at the border. So we went through extreme difficulty to get here. Now that we have reached the camp I became very ill. I have a problem with my back. I have a disc problem and high blood pressure but there was no medical help available. We were miserable.’
‘I am Foaad Jamshidi...we had such a difficult journey from the camp to here. It was such a long
path. I had two children with me. We almost walked for ten kilometers with no food or water. They didn’t give us any help or support. The Zahra Trust helped us a lot. They provided us with
water, biscuits for children. People are very pleased with them here. May God be pleased with them.
