Many families in Iraq and Afghanistan are led by women due to years of conflict. These widows and vulnerable women often struggle to support their families and are forced to rely on handouts. The Zahra Trust is committed to changing this by empowering them with the education and skills they need to become financially independent.
Providing education and skills training is crucial in helping these women build their own careers and support their families. Our courses in Nursing, Horticulture, and Beauty & Hairdressing equip them with the tools and knowledge to secure sustainable employment and improve their lives.
In Afghanistan, we are currently training 30 widows and vulnerable women in healthcare in Kabul. In Bamyan, we offer horticulture lessons to 20 women. We are also providing skills training courses in Najaf, Iraq. We have nursing courses for 7-10 women, beauty training courses for 7-10 women, and hairdressing courses for 7-10 women.
If this initiative is successful, we plan to expand the project even further, offering a wider variety of skills training to more women. Your support is vital in continuing and growing these essential programs, helping more women achieve financial independence and lead better lives.
