What Is Fatimiyya?

Fatimiyyah is the Arabic term referring to the death commemoration of Lady Fatima (sa).

Every year, Muslims from around the world take time to remember the life, legacy, and death of Fatima Al-Zahra, who was the daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saww) and wife of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (as).

The Importance of Fatimiyya Majlis

In remembering the legacy and importance of Lady Fatima (sa), Fatimiyyah Majlis occur throughout mosques and religious community centres, where people gather for lectures, speeches, sermons, and community worship.

Keeping alive the many lessons we can learn from her life and faith – including the importance of upholding justice, giving to charity, and protecting Islamic morals such as honesty and patience – it remains imperative on us all to support and participate in Fatimiyyah Majlis.

In the respected and beloved remembrance of Lady Fatima (sa), The Zahra Trust is at the forefront of supporting Fatimiyya Majlis across the globe.
